There are many paths to choose when you begin a new chapter. You have different priorities, a change in friends, commitments, and many other ways to grow. I want my first year at Loyola to have a positive growth that prepares me for my next few years here. Academically speaking, I want to be more involved in my classes. This will help me build connections with my teachers, classmates, and teaching assistants. I want to prioritize these relationships and create time to support my community. As second semester approaches and I get more acquainted here at Loyola, I will have a better grasp of my future. By that time I would like to completely change my bad-habits. Although my habit of procrastinating seems difficult to innovate, I believe my motivation to achieve success in all my classes can supersede. I have already changed so much from my high school self, but in order for these changes to stick, it requires repetition. College is one of the best ways to grow as a person and find an identity. Loyola has provided and will continue to provide me with all the necessary tools to find my ipseity. Although I have chosen a career in biology, I might find out I like something better. No matter what I end up doing, I think it is most important to find something that I enjoy. I hope my Loyola experience allows me to grow loving my field of study and allows me to make positive changes in my life and community.
